Vitamins and Such

So I’ve done some research and found the following vitamins and minerals to be most recommended for encouraging hair growth:

Vitamin A

keeps the hair root lubricated

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) promotes blood circulation to your scalp - increase ceramide and free fatty acid levels in skin which helps skin retain moisture and stimulates microcirculation
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)

may stop hair loss and help to regrow hair

Vitamin B6

Vitamin C improves scalp circulation - helps maintain capillaries that carry blood to the follicles
Vitamin E

stimulates the scalp by increasing blood circulation which makes more nutrients available to the hair follicles so they can grow stronger and healthier - increases oxygen uptake which improves circulation to the scalp

Biotin prevent your hair from graying prematurely - helps prevent hair loss
Folate
Inositol helps prevent hair loss
Flaxseed oil improves hair texture - prevents dry, brittle hair
Magnesium
Zinc stimulates hair growth by enhancing immune function
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) naturally occurring sulfur compound that increases the hair’s growth phase
Coenzyme Q10 improves scalp circulation - increases tissue oxygenation
L-Cysteine improve quality, texture, and growth of hair
L-methionine improve quality, texture, and growth of hair

Though I’m tempted to try one of the various supplements that is specifically formulated to increase hair growth…. for the time being I’m just going to stick with basic vitamins and minerals that I can get at my local Walgreens. Hopefully there will be some multivitamins that incorporate a few of these. Recent bloodwork showed I had very low levels of vitamin B… so extra vitamins will be a good idea anyways [only recommended doses of course]
